A Game to Help You Get Bookings!
This idea is shared by others and working well. At your Parties, hand out a balloon to each guest. You will have placed a piece of paper with a gift written on it. You set the price! Have different values--whatever you can afford. As you give the balloon to each person say, "What's a Party without a balloon, right!" Some will ask what it is for. Just smile and say that you will tell them in a little bit. At the end of your demonstration and before you explain the Hostess Plan say, "I want everyone to pick up their balloon and shake it. Inside each balloon is a gift from me to you . . . if you book a Party! The value of your gift will be from $___ to $___ (whatever you have decided) and you will recieve this gift at your Party. If 3 of you pop your balloon, (Hostess name) will get to pop hers to see what her free gift is. If you decide not to book a Party you can return your un-popped ballon to the balloon bag when you are ready for me to take care of your order." If they are still holding their balloon when you do their order, you can gently ask if they would like to pop their balloon and help out the Hostess. The person sharing this idea had 2 Parties and booked 3 Parties at each one! After holding the balloon for the entire show they hate to give it back. They are curious to see what is inside and the suspense is killing them. It helps you book Parties will no pressure.
ASK ME ABOUT MY JOB!
TWO WORDS
Tell everyone to write down the following letters on the back of their game sheet or order form. S O T R W W D O Now tell them to make "TWO WORDS" with the letters. They can only use the letters once to "make two words." Give them a few minutes and then ask, "Does anyone have two words written down?" Answer: The letters spell, TWO WORDS!!
This idea helps you tell "your story" and recruit at your Parties. You set up a time limit (10 minutes). then have your Guests ask you questions about your job. For every question they ask you, they will get a drawing ticket. (Be sure to answer their questions.) A drawing is help after the questions (use something from the Dollar Store or small from our line). What happens is that while the Guests are trying to win a prize you are telling them about our wonderful company and opportunity. People may be embarrassed about asking questions about your job but by turning it into a game it makes it fun and they could win a prize. It also helps you overcome the "fear of recruiting." I have used this at my Bingos and get lots of good questions that others are probably wondering but are afraid to ask. The ones asking the questions just might join your team so be sure to offer them an "opportunity packet" at the end of the evening when you are completing their orders.
